Upcycled Thrift Shop Find

This is a before picture of a country style wooden cabinet from a thrift shop that you can use for storage. If this look is not your style, don’t worry, with a little paint and vision, you can create a one of a kind piece to use in your space. I love using pieces that don’t require a lot of work to change the original look as you will see in the after picture.
This is the after picture of the small wooden cabinet. I removed the duck from the door and then painted the cabinet inside and out with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Once the paint dried I stenciled the client’s initial on the front door, decorative stencil inside (see on next picture) and then used Annie Sloan clear wax to protect it. This cabinet can stand on a dresser, counter top or hang on the wall for storage.
Added a decorative touch to the inside of the cabinet using a stencil. This decorative cabinet can be used for toiletries to sit on your dresser or hang on your wall in a bathroom or bedroom. I love pieces like this to use for storage at the same time gives your home a decorative touch and keep it organized. My client needed something to hold her shower gels and lotions and this is what I found and created for her.
This cabinet also has a top shelf where you can display decorative pieces like a small plant, candle (battery operated for safety), pretty perfume bottles, small picture frame, the choices are endless!
